Aims of the tool

The tool aims to help youth workers and young people use digital storytelling to build skills, share cultural heritage, support social inclusion, civic engagement and employability.

Description of the tool

The Digital Story Guide is a practical learning tool designed for youth workers and young people to develop storytelling and digital media skills through real-life topics such as cultural heritage, community life, and personal experiences. It combines simple theory with hands-on activities, helping users move step by step from idea creation to a finished digital story.
The tool is structured into four main parts: how to create a story, how to understand and reach an audience, how to use digital tools, and how to apply ethical principles. It includes clear examples, exercises, and methods that can be used in both individual and group learning. Users are guided to plan stories, choose formats (video, audio, social media), and present content in an engaging and responsible way.
Learning outcomes:
– Ability to create and structure a clear and engaging story
– Understanding of how to adapt content for different audiences
– Basic skills in using digital tools for storytelling (video, audio, visuals)
