The DigiRise Methodology is a practical framework for inclusive digital skills training for young rural women and mothers, using confidence-first, task-based and micro-learning approaches to strengthen employability, safety and digital independence.
To strengthen digital employability, inclusion and independence among young rural women and mothers by building confidence, practical digital skills, online safety and self-directed learning through flexible, task-based micro-learning.
The DigiRise Methodology is a practical framework for designing and delivering inclusive digital skills training for young women, particularly those from rural and disadvantaged areas. It combines confidence-first learning, practical tasks, real-life scenarios and flexible micro-learning. Training is organised into six areas: digital empowerment and self-directed learning; basic office skills; online communication and collaboration; digital security and privacy; web development and design; and online marketing and analytics.
Through the methodology, learners are expected to:
build confidence and become more independent digital learners;
use office tools to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations;
organise files and collaborate effectively using online and cloud-based tools;
communicate professionally in digital environments;
recognise online risks and protect personal information;
create a basic website or online professional presence;
use social media, SEO and basic analytics to increase online visibility;
apply digital skills to job seeking, employment, self-employment and everyday life.
The methodology emphasises learning by doing: each lesson leads to a practical action or tangible output, enabling participants to build evidence of their competence while progressively strengthening their employability and digital independence.
