The Democracy Tree mobile app and two User Manuals (for Youth and for Youth Workers) are innovative, interactive tools designed to make the story of democracy accessible, engaging, and relevant.
The app explores the different periods in the development of democracy through mini-games, infographics, videos, and suggested non-formal educational activities:
1. Ancient Roots (5th–4th centuries BCE)
2. Mediaeval and Renaissance Period (5th–15th centuries)
3. Enlightenment and Democratic Revolutions (17th–18th centuries)
4. 19th and Early 20th Centuries
5. Post-World War II Era
6. The EU Today
The two User Manuals (Youth / Youth Workers) support users in navigating the app’s content, offering guidance on how to integrate its features into individual learning or group educational activities. They provide step-by-step instructions, suggested methodologies, and tips for maximizing the app’s potential as a civic learning tool.
