Accessible learning tool introducing deaf and hard-of-hearing young people to coding and programming through plain language, sign language resources, interactive activities, and flexible learning pathways that support digital inclusion and employability.

The Deaf Young Code learning tool is designed to support deaf and hard-of-hearing young people in developing coding and programming skills through accessible and inclusive learning methods. Based on a transnational needs analysis involving 175 participants from seven European countries, the tool responds to a strong demand for coding education and advanced digital skills.
The learning experience combines sign language videos, plain-language explanations, interactive exercises, games, tutorials, and mentorship opportunities. It introduces learners to fundamental coding concepts, basic computer programming, computational thinking, and the logic behind everyday digital technologies.
