"Back to the herbs" handbook about herbs in Europe
Handbook is a result of participants work on the youth exchange "Back to the roots". It gathers info about usage of most popular herbs in Europe, it contains description, visual images of the plants, preparation tips, usage in daily life and some recipes.
Aims of the tool
Aim of this handbook is to raise awareness of young people about the importance of natural resources such as the flora and the herbs, and to share some basic info about mostly used herbs in Europe. We also want to promote important topic in youth projects - healthy lifestyle, health and well being and environment protection. Also, handbook is created to remind and encourage participants of the project to use different herbs introduced during the project. Handbook was created by combining information gathered by participants during the workshops of the project. It can also be informative to all young people and others interested in healthy lifestyle and usage of different herbs in their daily life.
Description of the tool
Handbook is a result of participants work on the youth exchange "Back to the roots" organized by Outward Bound Croatia. Goal of the project was to raise awareness of the importance of physical activities and healthy diet by making use of biological floral diversity that surrounds us.
Handbook gathers info about usage of most popular herbs in Europe, it contains description, visual images of the plants, preparation tips, usage in daily life and some recipes.
It is created to be available to all young people and others interested in healthy lifestyle and usage of different herbs in their daily life.
