SV Armenia 2012

Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Republic of Armenia and SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus Resource Centre will organise study visit to Armenia on 25-31 March 2012.

Duration of the Study Visit: 25-31 March 2012 (25th of March - arrival day, 31st of March - departure day).

Participants will take part also in the Eastern Partnership Platform IV Youth Event, afterwards they will  visit youth policy makers and youth organizations in Yerevan and in Gyumri.

The main aims are:

Objectives:

  • to learn about youth policies and youth work realities in Armenia as well as to get a general overview about developments in the EaP region in the youth field;
  • to encourage partnership-building and the development of project ideas;
  • to highlight successful experiences of cooperation with the Eastern Partners supported by the EU Youth in Action Programme;
  • to share experiences and practices;
  • to foster mutual knowledge and understanding;
  • to promote sustainable contacts between the youth NGOs aiming at future development of projects within the Youth in Action Program

Participants:

Study Visit will bring 25 participants, experienced youth workers from Program Countries (i.e. EU and EFTA member states, Turkey) as well as NA' s officers (i.e. representatives of the National Agencies of the Youth in Action Program)

Applicants' Criteria for youth workers:

  • are representative of the youth organization or organization working with young people, whom are able and authorize on behalf of its organization to create future projects ideas;
  • have basic knowledge about the Youth in Action Program (experience in projects with EECA countries is very welcome);
  • have experience from minimum 1 international youth project which was realized within the Youth in Action Program (other non-formal education experience will be an additional advantage);
  • are prepared to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organized by the National Agency or SALTO-YOUTH network;
  • are prepared to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the Study Visit including Eastern Partnership Youth Event;
  • have ability to communicate in English

Program elements:

Eastern Partnership Platform 4 Youth Event

  • presentation of the Youth in Action Program with special focus on cooperation with the Neighbouring Partner countries of the European Union;
  • presentation of the youth work reality in Armenia;
  • visits to different youth organization and institutions in Armenia;
  • presentation of Eastern Partnership opportunities for international youth cooperation;
  • official Launching of “Youth in Action” web-site in Armenia;

Application Procedure & Deadline

  1. Interested applicants - youth workers - should fill-in on-line application form!
  2. Interested NA' s officers please fill-in a special created on-line application form!

Deadline for both applications is 5 March 2012.

The selection will be carried out by the organizers. The selected participants will be informed directly by 12 March 2012.
