Aims & objectives

The main objectives could be marked as follows:

• Explain migration from different perspectives, depending on the nationality of the migrants and the conditions of the hosting country
• Let the participants share their countries’ experiences regarding migration, push and pull factors
• Shed some light on unjust treatment of migrants based on their nationality, religion, etc. in order to explain the underlying reasons behind this treatment, to eventually become more aware about the need of tolerance and open mindedness
• Reach the understanding that migrants and refugees are not only seekers of help and refuge, but individuals capable of providing and improving their hosting environment
• Discover different approaches of non-formal education in order to support young people to effectively use NFE in their local contexts for the integration of migrants

The Training course included the participation of 30 youth workers from the following Countries: Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

As freelance trainer, after an initial phase of contacts with the organizations promoting the project and after finalizing the design of the activities, I was in charge to facilitate and train the group of participants taking part to the Training, from the welcoming part to the team building activities, from the thematic workshops, role plays and simulations to the individual learning activities and reflection moments

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
