Aims & objectives

The training course aimed at:
-fostering youth entrepreneurship and creativity as methods of fighting youth unemployment;
-exchanging best practices on the topic;
-encouraging mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue through creativity;

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The training course gathered 36 motivated participants from Portugal, Đ•stonia, Malta, Romania, Turkey, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia and Bulgaria.
The team of trainers and presenters involved: Mrs Tsvetina Zaharlieva as a main trainer and lecturers from the European Centre for Innovations and Enterprise of the Commercial Chamber of Plovdiv and the Regional HR manager of MTel

Training methods used & main activities

The training course offered a variety of methods fostering youth entrepreneurship and creativity among which were:
-effective communications session;
-case studies and role games;
-mission game in the city to poll citizen's opinion about the importance of youth entrepreneurship;
-study visits to the local Business Center and the European Centre for Innovations and Enterprise in Plovdiv;
-creative workshops with a display stand on the main city squareq popularising the funding programme and the works of art, created by the participants;
-intercultural exchange;

Outcomes of the activity

The training course contributed to raising the participants' awareness on the opportunities youth entrepreneurship and creativity give for personal and professional development of young people. The participants also exchanged best practices on the topic and got to know the work of the Business Centres and European Innovation and Enterprise Centres, so they can foster more young people to benefit from their services.The project also improved the intercultural dialogue and fostered mutual understanding.All the participants received a YOUTHPASS certificate.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the main trainer and also the host, responsible for organising the study visits; coordinating the training agenda with the other presenting lecturers.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
