Youth Climate Innovation Bootcamp - Nurturing Youth Entrepreneurship for a Regenerative Future / KA2 Strategic Partnership

Aims & objectives

he KA2 project aimed to strengthen youth agency in addressing climate and environmental challenges through entrepreneurship, systems thinking, and innovation-based learning.

The programme focused on developing youth-led climate entrepreneurship competences, including sustainability thinking, innovative business models, and strategic problem-solving.

It also aimed to strengthen cooperation between youth organisations across Europe and build long-term capacity for delivering high-quality climate-related youth work.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The project involved 30 young people and youth organisations from Germany, Austria, and Estonia working in transnational cooperation.

Participants included youth teams selected for climate entrepreneurship development, supported by mentors and facilitators from partner organisations.

Training methods used & main activities

The programme used blended non-formal education methodologies, including:

-systems thinking and sustainability-based learning
-entrepreneurship and innovation workshops
-online capacity-building sessions
-mentoring and coaching processes
-international team collaboration
-demo-day and pitch-based learning
-peer learning and reflection cycles

The learning design combined structured training input with applied project development and iterative feedback.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants developed enhanced competences in climate entrepreneurship, systems thinking, and project development.

The programme produced measurable outcomes, including structured idea development processes, improved collaboration across international teams, and strengthened capacity for youth-led climate innovation.

Participants progressed from early-stage ideas to more structured initiatives through mentoring, workshops, and iterative development cycles.

The final dissemination event in Berlin showcased developed projects and strengthened visibility of youth-led climate innovation across partner countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My tasks and responsibilities included:

-designing and facilitating learning processes on climate entrepreneurship and systems thinking
-delivering workshops and online training sessions across project phases
-supporting international youth teams through mentoring and reflection processes
-contributing to curriculum and programme design within the consortium
-facilitating intercultural collaboration between partner countries
-hosting and facilitating the Demo Day in Berlin
-working as part of a transnational facilitation and design team

I worked on this training for 12 days as a full time trainer.
