The main intention of YOCOMO Training of Trainers is to equip trainers of youth workers in working with the ETS Competence Model, thus contributing to quality youth work in Europe.
This YOCOMO Training of Trainers, therefore, looks to prepare trainers to implement training activities for youth workers with a competence-based approach, in their context.
The group consisted of 20 participants from 14 different countries and even more nationalities The group of participants were actively working trainers in the field of youth work, who were providing training courses for youth work practitioners, working internationally.
The team consisted of 3 facilitators (including me) from 2 countries.

After this training participants:
- Understood and applied the ETS competence model – gained a deep understanding of the ETS competence model for youth workers and applied it effectively in practice.
- Developed a systemic approach to competence growth- learned to foster competence development in youth work using holistic and reflective methodologies.
- Designed and facilitated competence-based training – developed skills to create and deliver training programs tailored to youth worker development needs.
- Enhanced self-assessment and reflection – applied the ETS model and reflective practice to assess and continuously improve personal and professional competence.
- Adapted competence development to local contexts – applied training insights to diverse youth work environments, ensuring relevance and impact.
Together with co-facilitators I was responsible to the creation, development, delivery and evaluation of the training concept.
