The training activity took place
in Stari Grad, Croatia

Aims & objectives

- To raise participants' awareness about organisational management principles and mechanisms and understanding of their working environment and conditions;
- To work on strategic development of the organisations and other managerial tools and address participants competences (attitudes, skills and knowledge) in managing their organisation , the people and themselves.
- To share about organisational experiences and models in the different organisations represented by exploring the issue of organisational cultures.
- To develop skills in project planning and facilitation skills during development, implementation, evaluation and dissemination while making an action plan for a visible youth project dealing with youngsters with fewer opportunities.
- To provide an opportunity for participants to design a youth participation project in order to implement as a follow-up of the training, while strengthening the network between the involved partner organizations.
- To introduce a series of resources and funding opportunities that can be useful for bringing participants projects to reality, namely Youth in Action Programme.
- To explore how Youthpass and the Key Competences can be used as a tool for intercultural learning and active participation.

What is Organisational Management?
What is our working environment?
What is our working culture?
Key elements of Strategic Planning
Key elements of financial management (fundraising, budgeting, financial management)
Workshops on issues such as teamwork, Human resource management, Public relation and Lobby,
Ethic in management, Leadership, Stress and time management.
In this way, we want to improve youth participation in high diversity local contexts by developing already active youth workers competences trough an in depth experiential training and encourage participants to see European space as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in the field of youth.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

activity was for trainers and NGO boards in order to reflect and develop a better organizational models and raise operational capacity.
We had Italy, Croatia, Cyprus, Romania, Spain, Moldova, Bielorussia, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine.

Training methods used & main activities

energizers, team building and outdoor activities like sinking sand and treasure hunt in the city, The Simpsons Myers-Briggs Test, leadership games, forum theatre techniques, world cafè, negotiation and creativity tools for social campaign, learning walks...

Outcomes of the activity

The training was successful with a very high score on evaluation form and pretty nice graphic results on non-formal evaluation flipcharts. The prepared a video to be disseminate around and several training outcomes.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the main trainer, planning and running most of the workshop in a team with a co-trainer, a project manager, a logistic facilitator and a photographer.

I worked on this training for 10 days as a full time trainer.
