The main topic of the Seminar was the improvement of the management of volunteering projects.
All the participants had experience with volunteering projects, we all found some time with new problems and we have to give solution in an effective and fast way.
In the seminary they had the opportunity to submit their experience, achievements and proposals in the field of volunteering and together develop a manual of best practices in organizing and managing volunteering activities.
This exchange of experiences has meant an exponential enrichment of the work with the volunteers and a substantial improvement of the quality of the projects that are carried out in the different organizations.
Objectives:
- To know experiences in the field of volunteering, that are developed in different countries of the EU.
- To identify best practices developed in the field of volunteering activities at local, national, and European level.
- To establish networks to collaborate on future projects.
- To put a face on an organization and a name (to humanize the program).
- To endow the participants of the seminar of basic tools for the development of future projects, promoting the use of innovative and motivating methods of work.
- To consolidate the concept of European citizenship among the participants.
- To encourage the use of the technologies of information and communication as basic tools on time of elaborating projects for youth.
To contribute to the development of more solid associations and of better quality among organizations in all Europe.
20 participants from United Kingdom, Estonia, Norway, Italy, Romania, Greece, Austria, Germany, Portugal and Spain.

After this seminar, the General Directorate of Galicia for Youth and Volunteering decided to apply for a 2nd Edition of a group EVS project around the Way of St. James.
