Aims & objectives

Key objectives of the project were:
-Train management and organization skills, also developing a specific toolbox
-Inform and guide youth workers in the development of a professional career in the third sector
-Improve competence in PR, fundraising and marketing
-Improve the level of key competences and skills of participants (mostly with fewer opportunities) and introduction to the practices of self-evaluation of the 8 Key competences
-Increase networking and collaborations among partner organizations
-Inform about the opportunities and the benefits of the Erasmus+ Programme, especially for NGOs and youth workers

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The Training course included the participation of 26 youth workers from the following Countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Sweden

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal and informal learning methods were used throughout the duration of the Training, through brainstorming, facilitated discussions, problem solving initiatives, guided visualizations, creative writing exercises and simulations, individual and group tasks and workshops, evaluation questionnaire and learning points, practical activities, exchange of knowledge and experience, and mix of outdoor activities

Outcomes of the activity

Thanks to the activities carried out throughout the project, participants had the opportunity to improve their key competences, as defined in the Youthpass and specific in relation to the topics of the Training.
In particular, participants experienced the use of specific tools and methods in order to improve the quality of the youth work activities implemented by the partner NGOs, through and appropriate management and planning. The main competences developed refer to:
1) Strategic management of youth organization - standardization of our partner organizations in terms of goal setting, planning, deciding on key issues, crisis management
2) Team management, human resources, dealing with personalities in an organization, finding and adjusting proper roles in a team, dealing with volunteers, motivation and support systems.
3) Finances and budget-planning - different sources of funds for providing financial effectiveness and liquidity of an organization, cross-sectorial partnerships as strategic choice, fundraising and its legal aspects

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

As freelance trainer, after an initial phase of contacts with the reference person of the organizations promoting the project and after finalizing the design of some of the activities, I was in charge to facilitate and train the group of participants in specific workshops, learning activities and reflection moments

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
