TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Marco Adda
For many years we thought to do a special project that would allow us to work on the pedagogical methods we used in previous years with the trainer and pedagogue Tapa Sudana. The main focus of these methods is the personal and social research of the human been. How men can live in peace with him/herself and with the world around? This question brings into issues such as social integration, cooperation among peoples, respect for the environment, attention to energetic resouces, human rights and more ...
The aim was to create a moment of reflection and community life which enable a sensitivity and a situation just to understand and strongly feel these issues.
The team was composed of an Head trainer and six facilitators.
Head Trainer: I Gede Tapa Sudana
Facilitators: Marco Adda, Giulio Ferretto, Paola Calogero, Massimiliano Cilli, Antonio Cragnello, Robert McNeer.
The group of participants was composed of actors, youth workers, pedagogists, directors and dancers, from 4 different European countries and from USA. Countrier involved: Italy, France, Grece, Usa, UK.
The project proposed an international training course on the themes of Theatre, Immigration, Social Change, Arts, Peace in the World. We analysed and worked on these theme in great depth and provide tools for intervention using non-formal education and theatre to implement the process that gives value to cultural diversities and increased acceptance through learning and equal opportunities.
One important thing achieved in this work was the integration among the participants. Different cultures came together in an atmosphere of participation and sharing of knowledge. The work was set so that the basis for every action was cooperation, understanding of diversity and the formation of new and common languages.
We also did a final performance which involved the local community to take part to it!
Several projects were also developed after this project.
I worked on the project preparation, organizing, logistics, leading the training for the first two days, while we were preparing the group of partecipants on the basic skills/tools. From the third day the work has been led by Tapa Sudana. Since then I have worked mainly as his facilitator, leading several sessions of physical training and theatre in nature.
