TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Marina Codorniu Matas
This was the second training course of the KA1 project Youth Euromed Dialogue lead by CRN in which participants had the chance to create their own peacebuilding projects for their local communities.
- Participants remember and understand the basics of the theory of conflict management and peace building.
- Participants understand the phases and development of a project.
- Participants learn how to use and apply the Logical Framework Analysis in their own projects.
- Participants design and plan their own Peace Building project for a specific challenge that their local communities are facing. The goal is that participants will implement that project once they come back home, contributing to the improvement and the development of their communities.
The target group of this training was formed by participants from the following countries: Morocco, Germany, Tunisia, Jordan, Egypt, Spain, Italy
Non-formal education tools were used during the training both for Project Management and Peace Building.
An example can be the session in which participants were learning about the Conflict Curve. After playing 2 games related to conflict management and debriefing them, the trainers gave participants an empty model that they needed to complete themselves, trying to figure out the phases of the curve.
During this training, participants learnt the basics about conflict management and peacebuilding and had the chance to fully go through the planning phase of a peacebuilding project by designing it themselves for the benefit of their local communities.
Participants could give feedback to the trainers and the organisers in the Final Evaluation session of the training course.
I was one of the 2 full-time trainers in this training activity.
