TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Leilani van Rheenen
The aim of this training was to train trainers that would be capable to organise trainings to develop potential social entrepreneurs in their own communities. The training content included both topics related to social entrepreneurship as well as topics related to facilitating workshops.
The target group of the activity was youth workers who were either currently involved or going to be involved in the process of developing future social entrepreneurs. Training team was from the Netherlands and Turkey, while participants were from the UK, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Estonia and Turkey.
The training methods used included simulations, brain-storming activities, inputs, group discussions, guest speakers, debriefings and reflections.
Based on the evaluations of the participants this was a positive and meaningful learning experience, however more results remain to be seen after participants deliver their own workshops in their communities and come together for the second phase of this training in September 2017.
I had originally been one of the creators of the long term K2 project 360 degrees entrepreneurship, which this and 2 other trainings are a part of. Naturally I was involved full time in the designing and implementation of this training.
