TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Dragan Atanasov
The project ”Training 4 Trainers” aimed to train youth workers to become trainers and provide them with the theory, skills and tools necessary to design, implement and evaluate effective training programmes themselves in order to generate optimum learning outcomes and improved performance.
Participants at this training course were youth workers, project coordinators and trainers from 8 European countries. The team was consisted of trainers from the United Kingdom and Macedonia.
During the training course we used methods of non-formal education in order to create an appropriate learning environment by focusing on learning by experience, reflection on the past activities of the participants, discussions about the key competencies of youth work and discovering training competencies and methodology. It included various types of learning activities and formats to provide the youth workers with considerable flexibility in adapting the educational programmes to the specific needs of participants.
Greatest outcome of the activity was that the participants developed their skills for designing and facilitating trainings. The participants learned the most during the "praxis" part, when they had to plan and implement non-formal education sessions in small groups.
The activity program was implemented by a team of two trainers, from the United Kingdom and Macedonia. As a full-time trainer, I was responsible for planning and implementing the activity program.
