TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Mohamed Chiker
Work with children, especially with children with special needs, comes with the necessity of adapting the activities and finding innovative and inclusive methods for teaching. With this training course, focusing on inclusive education we wanted to give teachers, educators and youth workers the background understanding and efficient tools to implement inclusive activities for their target groups. The goal is to share good practices and develop new ones that will offer appropriate educational activities for all children and young people.
Overall, the activity addressed the need for encouraging the participants to include everyone in their Educational programs and to promote inclusivity among children, aligning with the goals of the organizations to promote Education for everyone and empower young individuals.
In this training course we had 25 people who are Youth workers, teachers and educators from Romania
In this training, I used different non-formal learning methods to engage participants actively. In the beginning, I used energizers like "Who is the Leader?" and "Move with the Music" to break the ice and energize the group. Next, I facilitated team-building activities to make the group get closer connections among each other. For example, I placed the rope in the ground in the form of a path and a blindfolded volunteer from the participants had to walk in between without touching it and the participants had to guide him but the participants communicated using only one word each for each round. It was an activity to enhance their teamwork and understanding.
To delve deeper into the topic of Inclusive Education, I utilized the World Cafe method to facilitate small group discussions, providing participants with the opportunity to express their ideas and perspectives on the topic in a relaxed setting. These interactive methods promoted active engagement and deeper learning among participants.

In addition, I used the " Agree & Disagree" Method to give the participants the chance to discuss and to know their point of views.
The training aimed to raise awareness among participants about the importance of using different methods to deal with children with different personalities and difficulties. Also how to include everyone during the learning process.
It was successful as evidenced by an evaluation session where participants shared what they learned and provided positive feedback. Additionally, I made an online evaluation form and they answered anonymously, further confirming the effectiveness of the training.

As part of the trainers' team, I was responsible for preparing for the Training course. This includes organizing all logistical aspects, preparing materials, and coordinating arrival logistics. Throughout the training activity , I welcomed participants, led team-building activities, and organized city tours. In addition, I facilitated workshops introducing the topic and led the planned workshops for each day. I also facilitated Youthpass workshops and coordinated intercultural nights. My responsibilities extended to conducting evaluations to ensure the program's success. I was responsible with my colleague for the whole program.
Mohamed is an incredibly capable and reliable trainer/facilitator of Erasmus+ programs, and this was clearly demonstrated by his work in the training course "Inclusive Education" at EJBM. In the intercultural setting of the training, he communicated tactfully and led the program very responsibly. In my work with him preparing and facilitating the training, Mohamed was resilient, earnest, and open-minded. His methods were energizing, thought-provoking, impactful, and well-tailored to the subject matter and needs of the participants. Mohamed showed himself to be an excellent role model for participants and youth workers alike. Humble but curious, always striving to improve the quality and reach of his work, Mohamed is someone with whom I am proud to have worked.
