ToT Road to the Future

Aims & objectives

The Training for trainers and mentors aimed to develop the skills of youth activists to deliver local trainings and mentor local advocacy actions promoting the "New Narrative for Europe" and addressed mainly to newly-elected European decision-makers. The event launched the follow-up phase of the campaign "I Choose Europe" aimed at raising the awareness of the European Elections among youth.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

39 participants 17-31 years old from Finland, Malta, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Greece, Germany, Slovenia, Spain.

Training methods used & main activities

NFE: leanring by doing, peer-to-peer, Kolb's cycle, advocacy cycle, NAOMIE - main references for creating the agenda and implementing it. Examples of methods used: open space, gallery, silent debate, impro theatre.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants with different level of experience and expertise in advocacy, active citizenship and NFE got on a common baseline and developed it, eacquiring new competence, establishing a network and practicing (giving, participating and evaluating workshops among themselves and participants of the YES event). Their learning was monitored, discussed and evaluated thanks to a debriefings, daily reflection gorups a mid-term evaluation and a final one. Methods included self-assessment tests, verbal, non verbal and paraverbal expression of their learning route and a written questionnaire.
