TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

AIM:
To support youth workers in enabling young people to better assess and express their competences for employment purposes.
OBJECTIVES:
1. to enable youth workers to help young people to become self aware about their competencies, to show evidence of those, and to recognize spaces for further development;
2. to inspire and increase capacity of youth workers to develop activities with the focus of employability;
3. to prepare youth workers to help young people articulate, adapt and transfer the description of their competencies into different working contexts;
4. to provide/develop concrete tools for youth workers to use with their target group to work the self-awareness of competencies relevant for employability;
5. to increase competencies about assessing impact of youth work activities towards employability.
This project involved a group of 30 participants and was organized in collaboration with the following partners:

The Team was composed by:

This Training involved 2 meetings. The first aimed at preparing youth workers to implement new methods with their youngsters, in order to improve their capacity to enter the job market. During this training there was simulations, cooperation activities, presentations and small group work. Afterwards participants were invited to implement their activities during a 3 month period in their local communities. The team support this stage with online meetings and online support. Afterwards there was a follow-up meeting where the results were shared and a hand book was developed by participants and team together. Moreover, an expert from the HR field was invited to share her vision on the topics.
