TC “Non-Formal Education in the field of cooperation as a tool for youth empowerment"

Aims & objectives

- To offer a set of non-formal education tools and resources to Moroccans educators working with young people in order to foster teamwork, solidarity and associationism within the youth population
- To create an informal network between youth organizations of Morocco and Catalonia.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

- Group composed by Moroccan educators and youth leaders working in the youth center ATED (the hosting association).
- Team composed by Greek, Spanish and Italian trainers.

Training methods used & main activities

- Non Formal Education methodology, implemented with non-formal learning based methods like groups dynamics, debates, simulations and groups of discussion.
- Theater of the Oppressed methodology was implemented during the activities, using Image Theater and Drama methods.

Outcomes of the activity

- Empowering a group of Moroccan educators and youth leaders, promoting their intercultural learning with a group of trainers coming from different European countries (Spain, Italy and Greece).
- New education tools and resources for their daily work with young people.
- Stable and honest partnership between Moroccan and Catalan associations in the framework of youth cooperation.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- Trainer in charge of training session on group building, group dynamics, Image Theater and Drama activities, and Human Rights education.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
