Aims & objectives

- To build competences of participants in social and emotional awareness
- To build participants capacity in mental health prevention
- To empower participants in working with youth in mental health prevention
- To share practises on mental health education from 4 different countries
- To test activities from training curriculum of Strategic Partnership and gather feedback for improvements
- To film educational videos of all facilitated activities for creation of the library how to facilitate those methods

Target Group: teachers, educators, youth workers interested in mental health education
Countries: Romania, Spain, Iceland, Portugal

Training methods used & main activities

Training was based on NFE activities and methodology of learner centred approach. One of specific methods that were used was a game based experience activity based on board game Amazing Island. Other activities were based on methods such as: empathy, emotional awareness experiences, Non Violent Communication, forum theatre, work in small groups/pairs, world cafe, team building

Outcomes of the activity

The biggest outcomes was the participants from training started acting as multipliers and using activities that were used and adapting them in their communities - at schools, organisations rising awareness of social emotional development and mental health prevention.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Preparing training program together with all trainers, making needs assessment of participants. Facilitation of sessions connected with team building, values, reflection, evaluation. Facilitating the board game experience Amazing Island.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
