Aims & objectives

- to encourage the use of theatre technics in youth work, in order to avoid language barriers and support sense of initiative, particularly dealing with young people with fewer opportunities in order to build a more inclusive society;
- to break stereotypes, fight discrimination and marginalization, spreading the needs of a tolerant and peaceful and more equal society without borders and prejudices, using theatre of the oppressed methods.
- to support youth workers, sharing good practices, activities and tools for the development of creative and useful techniques for inclusion in their own communities and in order to build a network of organizations and professional staff for future cooperation between EU and EECA.
- to raise awareness on the issues that young people with fewer opportunities are facing every day in different country, improving communicational and interpersonal skills of youth workers, leaders and young volunteers, exploring effective strategies for social inclusion.
- to promote youth in action programme and Erasmus for all, giving the opportunity to start working on future projects, with new partnerships between countries involved.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

youth worker, youth leaders, trainers, facilitator from Italy, Croatia, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova

Training methods used & main activities

theatre techniques including theatre of the Oppressed, energizers, inclusion and Intercultural learning activities from SALTO t-kit.

Outcomes of the activity

The project was successful, we had several promotional video to promote active participation, inclusion and youth work; most of the participants are now involved in youth work and they are using non-formal methods for workshops in their own countries, focusing more on theatre as tool to overcome barrier.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Main trainer with a co-trainer, a facilitator, a group of volunteer as support team in charge for logistic and administrative processes

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
