TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The activity aims to prepare, deliver and evaluate international 5-day international training course connected to participants from all three countries: France, North Macedonia, and the Czech Republic with the following objectives:
-to increase the competencies of youth workers, educators, and leaders to use smartphones effectively at their work with young people with fewer opportunities;
-to raise their competencies to realize the developed activities aiming to increase young people's critical thinking, media literacy and digital competencies
-to support sharing practices of involved organizations in the framework of digitalization, using various tools for competency development of young people with fewer opportunities and Erasmus + Programme.
Participants: 5 per country (15 total), aged 18+, from France, Czech Republic and North Macedonia.
Profile: at least a communicative level of English language, enabling them to actively engage in preparatory meetings, the mobility, and subsequent activities. Exhibit a strong interest in the central theme of the project: youth work, digital tools, digitalization, media literacy. Can be newcomers starting with youth work or experienced youth workers with 5 or more years of experience. Be motivated to collaborate within an international team, and to contribute to successful project implementation, while working on the development on their personal and professional competencies;.
Learning by doing method. Ice-breakers and team building games to get to know each other. Creative workshops, discussions, role plays, interactive presentations and non-formal learning methods. Intercultural and various social activities.

Team was based on youth workers and trainers from Czech Republic and North Macedonia, with support from a local volunteers (delivering some logistics, like food for coffee breaks etc.). I undertook some of the session, mainly focused on soft-skills, artificial inteligence, using smartphones from a perspective of an inclusion, introducing new tools (like Mentimeter), and collecting feedback.
