Aims & objectives

- To exchange realities and challenges on young women's participation and representation in the Youth councils ,
- To introduce gender mainstreaming as a way to promote gender inclusion and public recognition towards young women in youth decision making bodies.
- To develop participants knowledge and competence on how to carry out ACCESSIBILTY projects aimed at empowering young women.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

15 participants from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Young members from youth organisations.
Team: 1 russian facilitator and 1 spanish trainer

Training methods used & main activities

- Group dinamics.
- Simulation games.
- Videos.
- Group research.
- Theoretical input on gender studies.

Outcomes of the activity

Most of the participants hadn't worked on gender issues before and even denied gender inequality. At the end of the training they all were defining themselves as feminist and worked together on common projects to increase young women empowerment in their organisations and context.
