We used non-formal education methods
With used Non Formal education methodology for this training course. We had very few theoretical input on Roma rights, history and culture and most of the activities. We used theater and other creative methods a lot so youth could write / reflect / talk about their own situation and the situation of their community. We used music, improvisation, public space performances, etc to encourage peer learning and self-directed learning.
The results of the training were very positive. Participants show in their evaluations a high perceived development especially in their capacity to connect to wider European Roma community and to improve self-confidence and positive self-image.
The participant performed in Gjilan theater in the frame of the IMAGeIN'AIR film festival in front of a wide audience. A booklet with a collection and their text, poetry and reflection as been edited together with a video of their performance.
