Aims & objectives

Empowering youth workers and NGOs with strategies and methods typical of mediators; developing competences in managing conflicts using approaches based on dialogue and cooperation by providing a specific set of skills useful in youth work; enhancing empathic dialogue and stimulating teamwork to improve overall employability and professionality; promoting international exchange of practices and tools to deal with conflict, based on the different background and experience of the represented countries.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

youth workers aged 22-30 from Belgium, Italy, Romania, Spain, Latvia, Croatia, Macedonia.

Training methods used & main activities

We used energizers, ice-breaking, teambuilding, role play, visits, non violent communication exercise, conflict styles market&Abigail story (salto tools), Forum Theater, project planning, Erasmus+.

Outcomes of the activity

The training was very successful, the evaluation showed that participants increased of more than 80% their competences in mediation, group dynamics and conflict management, plus they learn about Restorative principles, values and justice.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I followed the project application and the communication with partner, in the first cooperative designing of the proposal. Then I designed the workshop with the other trainers, choosing activities from Salto or inventing some, as the topic is quite new. I also helped in the evaluation of the team, organization of the training and final report.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
