Quality assurance of Youth Work in YiA projects in SEE

The training activity took place

Aims & objectives

The main aim of this project is the creation of a platform between Programme Countries (of the Youth in Action Progamme.) and SEE countries, of commonly agreed principles, which should guide future project development under the Youth in Action Programme-with a special focus on South East Europe project development.
The objectives of this project are:
-to develop and create measurable, functional and sustainable systems and patterns of organizational work in regard to the projects of the YIA programme, in SEE
-to establish a platform for future common principles in the development of projects of the YIA programme in SEE
-to share and analyse experiences of organizations and individuals, of dealing with projects of the YIA programme, from Programme Countries and as well as from SEE countries
-to create possibilities for collaboration and partnerships from all countries/organizations involved with this project

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Organizers, trainers, logistic persons, administrative persons, Youth workers, having experience of organising at least three international youth projects. Motivated individuals who are keen to develop their future projects and be ready to collaborate and build common set of principles.

Training methods used & main activities

The course is designed as an open learning process based on participants’ experience and exchange. The training course will follow the non-formal education approach. A combination of the different creative and interactive methods will be used by the international trainers’ team and designed upon the profile of participants. The learning of new skills, the acquisition of knowledge and the exchange and challenge of each other’s attitude and experience are very important for this training course.

Outcomes of the activity

The outcome of the seminar was a small guiding booklet about how to organize quality projects in SEE financed by YIA programme.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My role was to prepare, run and evaluate the whole seminar with my facilitator colleagues.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
