POVERTY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION OF IMMIGRANTS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Aims & objectives

The purpose of the seminar is to aware youth of the topic of poverty and social exclusion which affect immigrants in the European Union countries, analyzing causes, responsibilities and possible solutions. Furthermore it will give a
better understanding of the immigration phenomena as a human right issue.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The seminar involved participants from different European countries in which Immigration is an actual topic.

Training methods used & main activities

In order to reach the goal, participants took part in working groups activities and following discussions, visited local social workers involved in the Italian national project for asylum seekers and participated in a meeting with University professors of the University of Pisa.

Outcomes of the activity

The seminar did analyze situations and problems existing with lots of time to explore and discuss possible outcomes.

I was facilitating groups discussions, working groups, following up on actions.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
