Aims & objectives

The aim of the training is to increase the skillful use of active methods (education through experience) working with a group, especially activity requiring physical effort, taking in the fresh air. Education through experience (outdoor) based on the development of creativity, ingenuity and sense of initiative, uses ecological and innovative ways of working in a group. Empowering participants through coaching sessions, and familiarize participants with methods to use coaching in youth work.

The aim of the project is to study the methods of outdoor education, leadership development and communication skills of youth workers, to encourage continuous personal development and the acquisition of new skills, gain work skills of the group. As well as the creation of a network of partner organizations interested in the topic.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Youth workers and educators, teachers. All participants were adults from Romania, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria and Poland in total 18 people.

Training methods used & main activities

Training based on outdoor education methods including debriefing and coaching methods.
Active methods of outdoor education:
cooperative exercises
exercises for senses
trust exercises
adventures activities
Most of activities were outside using nature such as river, forest, mountain, etc.

Outcomes of the activity

The result of the course is a practical mini guide of outdoor education including descriptions of activities and useful suggestion and tips for educators especially in youth field.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Designing all training course program, preparing activities and leading them during the course, as well supporting co-trainer and cooperation with him.
Responsible for editorial of mini guide.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
