The training activity took place
in Padul, Spain

Aims & objectives

- To provide the chance to find good and reliable partners from rural areas to make youth exchanges with, creating a solid network of contacts and partnerships.
- To grasp the impact and social change a youth exchange can have within a small local community.
- To share what is needed to plan a youth exchange of good quality in rural areas.
- To discover the possibilities of local involvement.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The activity was open for 19 voluntary and professional youth workers, working directly with young people in rural areas, from Lithuania, Albania, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, Estonia, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Latvia, Poland, Serbia and Spain.

Training methods used & main activities

The project was a learning-by-doing experience, built on a simulation exercise which was interspersed with workshops, info sessions, activities to improve the group dynamics and ongoing evaluation.

Outcomes of the activity

New international quality projects in rural areas.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Full-time Facilitator. Study on needs, design of the programme, development of the methods and tools, implementation and evaluation.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
