Aims & objectives

The training course focused on youth participation as a tool for social inclusion.
The aim of this training course was to make youth participation easier to understand in order to
promote it better at local and European levels.
The objectives of this training course were:
- To bring youth participation to touch, to make it more concrete and clear: what is youth
participation? How do we see and understand it? How do we practice it? How does it work?
- To raise awareness of what is the impact of youth participation and to show concrete
examples and results from it
- To give skills and tools to raise motivation of young people to be more involved in at
local/regional/national/European level.
The target group were young people from 14 European Countries.

Training methods used & main activities

Training methods used were: Exchange of best practices and tools, case studies, field visits, experts' inputs, (Forum Theater workshop, participation workshop), small groups discussions and organisation of a local event.

Outcomes of the activity

After this training course, the group created a street event where they encourage the local community in Ostia to participate more in the youth policies making.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My role was a full time trainer. I've participate in the preparation meeting, building the program, creating the flow, proposing and choosing the proper methods.
During the training course, I was in charge with team building session, sharing experience session, filed visits, future project and evaluation.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
