Aims & objectives

The main objective of the training is to encourage the creation of a new and positive approach to the conflict that young people were able to understand their dynamics, have a clear understanding about domestic violence and the forms that takes, and also equipping them with the skills to cope and conflict resolution.
Other objectives of the project:
- Developing a common understanding (and common language) basic concepts such as peace, violence and human rights, and to investigate links between them
- Provide participants with the theoretical and practical facilities in order to understand the concept of conflict and its dynamics
 - Equipment participants with tools for conflict analysis
- Strengthen the leadership skills of youth workers, in order to carry out responsible measures and solutions in their local community
- Develop relevant skills, knowledge and tools needed to deal with different types of conflicts.
- Promoting mutual respect, tolerance, solidarity and intercultural dialogue between European countries
 - To provide a space for participants to share their experiences, putting both in front of them challenges and opportunities for development.
- Encourage international cooperation and support for the work of conflict resolution at the local level
- Learning creative examples of activities that could support the transformation of conflicts at local, national and international

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

24 youth workers and youth leaders from eight countries: Croatia, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia, Italy, Macedonia, Latvia. Background: The target group are training youth workers, volunteers, youth leaders, and participants representing marginalized groups in their countries. Particular attention is paid to the selection of participants who are involved in activities with young people on a daily basis and are motivated to learn how to constructively resolve the conflict and violence in their organizations and their local community.
Needs: Selected participants have demonstrated the need to acquire new and improved tools to deal with the issue of the conflict, a profound understanding of conflicts in the context of his character and dynamics, further expanding the need for practical skills and tools to transform conflict and learn from them / draw constructive conclusions. The training will provide participants with a space for exchange and reflection on personal experiences. Second, participants will work in teams and develop action at the local level that will complement our course. At this stage, they will receive support from the trainers and the project team.
Selection: Selection of participants will be carried out by partner organizations using the application form. Each organization will select a total of three participants, from which at least two will be characterized by fewer opportunities.

Training methods used & main activities

Integration activities, classes breaking cultural barriers, energizers, meetings / discussions, group tasks, personal experience, video presentations, group discussions, meetings with the local community, simulations conflicts, meetings with the guest and other tools will support participants in terms of understanding and knowledge of specifics , nature of the different types of conflicts and methodologies to deal with them.
We expect to carry out the following tasks during the training:
• Presentation of the tasks entrusted to the participants and a discussion on them;
• Talking about identity, culture and diversity;
• interactive activities to develop a common understanding of the terms of peace, violence and conflict.
• Exploring the dynamics of the conflict, the tools and methods of analysis
• Presentation of the local environment in which they work, participants
• open space, a practice sharing / community development and opening the topic for discussion;
• Meeting local organizations associated with changes in conflict.
• Outdoor Activities - Getting to know the local culture;
• Presentation of the Erasmus + and the opportunities offered to young people;
• Develop ideas for future projects and further cooperation;
• Daily Reflection Group;

Outcomes of the activity

During the training, participants will be teams worked on the concept of the project, which will be treated as the multiplier effect of our initiative. In this phase, the teams will assist each other in implementation. This experience will encourage participants to understand the importance of having support, and on the other side of a sense of leadership. The project is the basis for the participants on issues relating to violence in society, the forms it takes, to understand the root causes and consequences of violence in the context of society. Participants will discuss the violence, peace and human rights and how they are interrelated. Through seven days opinions and attitudes of participants will be shaped in order to combat violence and encourage them to take an active role in building peace in their society. Finally, training will stimulate reflection on learning from past experiences, which have a direct impact on personal development. By understanding the conflict and the approach to it, they gain confidence that they can use in the local environment and professional. It is in these areas the ratio of participants with colleagues, friends, family, customers and others will be strengthened and improved.
Participants will be encouraged to share and transfer new knowledge gained during the training in their organizations sending as a starting point to work on the improvement of work in the transformation of the conflict. The project will also stimulate and strengthen partnership between the EU and organizations, youth leaders from different organizations. This will provide a solid basis for further cooperation between different regions of Europe. The partner organizations will also be encouraged to develop other activities multiplier at the local level.
The project will have the greatest impact on volunteers, youth workers, youth leaders and organizations participating. It is also a way to improve the quality of youth work and work on the overvaluation of the importance of conflict situations, which we can expect in the long term.
