On arrival Training Course

Aims & objectives

Training aimed to ESC volunteers - part of the Traning Cycle. In Austria the main aims are to - give information about the ESC - also practical ones
- offer space to share first impressions, experiences with their hosting projects
- get intercultural insights and inspiration
- network with other volunteers and get motivated for their projects

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

22 ESC Volunteers from 6 European Countries plus 1 from Tunisia and 1 from Egypt

Training methods used & main activities

We used the combination on non-formal methods ( Walk&Talk, Visualising and Reflection about your Project, Morning Journaling, Exercise with "Blind Fold", Treassure Hunt - Wien Rally, Intercultural Cooking with few formal presentation (Info about the Programme, Rights &Responsibilities).

Outcomes of the activity

We received very good feedback at the end and also written after - some of the volunteers even stayed in touch with us - informally (Christmas wishes, thanks and questions via e.mail).

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Trainer with some organisation tasks (Cooking, Egyptian Birthday Party)....

I worked on this training for 4 days days as a full time trainer.
