TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

Aim:
to give youth leaders from cross border areas project management skills that will help them to run their projects in more effective way.
Objectives
- to share and analyze the specific situations of different cross border regions across Europe.
- to train skills of: project planning, project implementation and project evaluating
- to achieve the awareness that the main idea behind “cross border cooperation” does not end after 1st of January 2007
- to rise the motivation to participate actively in the public life of their local communities
- to set-up the long lasting international and cross-border partnership and to maintain the effective cooperation
Target group:
Youth leaders from cross border areas starting their experience in international youth work.
There were 20 participants from 8 european countries, 3 trainers (2 from Poland one from Czech Republic).
Training methods:
case studies, simulations, discussions, small group work, teambuilding activities, creative methods.
Outcomes:
- one more Neighbours meet Neighbours training in Poland
- long term follow up project in Euroregion Nisa (crossborder area: Poland - Germany - Czech - Republic): youth exchanges, youth initiatives, youth and democracy projects
my tasks:
- co-designing each module of the training
- running modules dealing with the role of leader in project management
- intro into Youth in Action programme
- facilitating future partnerships module
