„More opportunities”

The training activity took place
in Zadar, Croatia

Aims & objectives

The aims of the training:
- deepen the understanding of (obstacles and challenges that) youth with fewer opportunities face
- competence development of youth workers that work with fewer opportunities

The objectives:
- to improve knowledge on youth psychology (challenges of youth and particularly of youth with fewer opportunities)
- to promote self-directed learning as a youth worker
- to develop learning to learn competence of youth workers
- to provide youth workers tools for further personal and professional development
- to develop competences of youth workers and provide them tools in working with youth with fewer opportunities
- to exchange tools and approaches in working with youth with fewer opportunities
- to promote Youth in Action as tools in working with youth with fewer opportunities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Training gathered 24 participants from 4 countries: Croatia, Belgium, Lithuania and Estonia.
Trainers team was from 3 international trainers from: Belgium, Lithuania and Croatia.

Training methods used & main activities

Methods:
individual work, group work, presentations, study visit, reflection groups, sharing experience, input.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants gave feedback on a daily basis. At the end of the course they filled out the evaluation questionnaire. Within that process they mentioned that they broaden their understanding of the term youth with fewer opportunities and concrete methods they can approach them.
After the TC they transferred gained knowledge to their organizations and they created and implemented one workshop for youth. Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was part of the trainers team so i contributed in creating the program and delivering sessions on youth with fewer opportunities, individual work, mental health etc.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
