TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

Aims of the training were:
1) share experiences and good practices among participants;
2) getting to know the Erasmus+ programme with a special focus on ESC and adaptations for participants with visual impairment;
3) promoting ESC experiences among stakeholders dealing with visual impairment;
4) improving the quality of existing projects and future projects involving young people with visual impairment;
5) encouraging new partnerships and new projects;
6) improving partnership quality.
The team was composed by 1 trainer from Belgium (Anca David), one logistical support staff from Belgium (Carine Gaul), and one co-trainer from Italy (myself).
Group was composed by 26 participants from 6 Countries (Italy, Belgium, Romania, Poland, Spain, Turkey).
The training was addressed to youth trainers, youth workers and youth leaders of mixed backgrounds (NGOs with expertise in visual impairment inclusion and NGOs who never worked with this specific target group).
The training has been held through a non-formal education methodology (discussions, role-playing, debates, sharing experiences, testimonials of ex-volunteers with visual impairment, and some icebreaking games with respect to Covid-19 regulations).
1) reflection of project quality;
2) some new project ideas were submitted in the next round (February 2022);
3) new ideas for outcomes dissemination;
4) new input about the general meaning of inclusion and its impact on local activities.
