Aims & objectives

Networking of practitioners involved in commemorative work
Method-based advanced training for practitioners Engagement in practise-oriented discussions of the history educators
Foster a critical reflection of the terms used in commemorative work and questioning what influence history and politics and indeed propaganda driven by interests have had on the commemorative debate and practical projects in different countries

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Group: 80 participants from 12 EU countries and Eastern Partnership countries
Team: 6 facilitators (Latvia, Germany, Poland, Austria, Georgia)

Training methods used & main activities

Speed-dating, bar camp, World Cafe, Open Space, city game, workshops, speed lab discussions
