Aims & objectives

The main objective is to increase the quality of youth work, by focusing on conflict resolution methods,
mediation and coaching.This main objective is divided into several goals, which are the main guidelines for the activities:1) Improve the Mediation of conflicts and coaching competences of 31 youngsters ;2) Empower 32 youth
workers to develop their own mediation, ADR (Alternative dispute resolution)and coaching styles;
3) Increase the
motivation and work of the participants, through the knowledge acquired;
4) Improve the quality of coaching and mediation
assistance provided to young people in their career choices;
5) Increase the capacity of the organizations involved to manage their staff and volunteers regarding Mediation of conflicts appeared in their work;
6) Promote the employment
through the skills and tools regarding participants focus and organizational needs;
7) Use coaching in conflict transformation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The 4 days workshop was delivered for 20 people from Romania, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy with the age of 24-30 that are working and/or volunteering in youth field.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal education methods:
-practicing Negotiation between pairs and within groups; learning the keys of Decision Taking processes
and their important role when it comes to solving a dispute; and, more over, learning,
- practicing the Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods as an alternative way of managing of a conflict;
-role play
- group activitites
- meditation and focus
-reflection and debate

Outcomes of the activity

The activity was fullfiling for the participants in the foolowing way:
• Increased their professional awareness;
• Improved their career and working environment performance;
• Increased their satisfaction and motivation;
connection with new tools;
• Capacity to manage the conflicts with others during work and beyond, but also to reflect better to
their own conflicts;
• Capacity to mediate other people by being able to share the knowledge acquired.
