Aims & objectives
Aim:
Enhancing the quality of the Youthpass process within the EVS experience.
Objectives:
- To understand the concept of EVS as an educational programme and to discover the philosophy behind Youthpass.
- To explore the dimension of learning within EVS project and to connect it with non formal/informal and self-directed learning
- To develop competences on facilitating the learning process and on the self-assessment of learning outcomes in EVS
- To develop competences on the implementation of the Youthpass as a process, learning how to use it as tool for learning recognition
- To provide a clear understanding of the key competence within Youthpass and ability to facilitate recognition of these competences.
- To reflect on the role of the Youthpass support person regarding the learning of the EVS volunteer
Profile of the participants:
EVS mentors, coordinator and all the people involved in the learning process of EVS
Countries involved: Spain, Ireland, UK, Poland, Germany, France and Hungary
The training we will use experiential and interactive non-formal methods
As a results of the training, the participant’s organisations have gained professional development of their staff in the role of a mentor: participants are now able to coordinate and/or support EVS projects with higher quality regarding the learning impact on the EVS volunteers and learning outcomes analysis in the format of the Youthpass process. Their learning will be carried on within this role.
There was a total of three full time trainers, one from Italy, Spain and myself from Ireland.
