Aims & objectives

Our project "Let's break this (mental) wall" is aimed at equipping 24 youth workers, leaders and volunteers from 8 countries in competencies and skills in support of young people excluded from fewer opportunities, in creating their own social initiatives aimed at the issue of entrepreneurship.

Detail objectives:
-support learners, often with fewer opportunities in the acquisition of competencies (knowledge, skills), entrepreneurship and create their own local initiatives
-support youth workers, in acquiring and expanding their knowledge, tools, and working out new ways of working with young people excluded
-Increase skills in a foreign language, particularly among the participants, which will be the first experience of participating in an international project
-Increase synergies and complementarities of formal education, the proposed by us and the dimension of non-formal education in the field of 'practical' business
-Change the perception of certification of non-formal learning (rank certificates increased awareness and education of foreign Youtpass)

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Countries: Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria. A total of 24 participants.

Profile of participants: youth workers directly activating young people with fewer opportunities, interested in the development of social entrepreneurial initiatives in this group, and gain new tools and methodologies work.

Our participants will be leaders working directly with young people with fewer opportunities, mainly in their local communities. Seeking methods and techniques in order to strengthen their work in developing and implementing their group of new, creative ideas related to social entrepreneurship. Our training faces of all the present needs, providing youth workers to go through a complete 'circle of social development of entrepreneurial initiatives', from youth support in identifying specific problems of the final evaluation and understanding 'finished products', each initiative.
The project as a form of mobile education is to invest in skills, knowledge and attitude in the development cycle of 24 participants, with simultaneous clarification of their objectives. At the end of training, participants will be able to adopt special measures and methods that correspond to work with their target groups. They will also have the chance to increase the lead to the development of models of social entrepreneurship in the context of working with young people excluded. In addition, through work in international teams will be encouraged to create joint international initiatives.

The project was designed additions through the analysis and the application of 8 key competences contained in the "Education and Traning 2010". Youth workers given the chance to:
- Improve their communication in a foreign language,
- Development of their artistic and cultural skills through specially workshop sessions
- Development of their digital literacy through the use of online tools that will be used throughout the process, both before, during and after the training-experience a new methodology in science and the creation of new capacity in social skills.
Additionally, during the whole process, participants will be able to flexibly transform (using offered by our mentoring and experience) received a tool that in as much effective to implement them in their work with young people excluded on grounds of their local work and activity.

Criteria for the selection of participants: Participants will be selected by the partner organizations. An important selection criterion is their commitment and previous work with young people disfavoured. Applications will be open for youth workers with international experience, as well as for those for whom this is the first such project, but acting locally and interested in self-development and target groups.
Together with our partners we create application forms that will be used for qualitative recruitment of participants, the best enrolling in assumptions of the project.

Outcomes of the activity

They will contribute to achieving the objectives of the project by:
- Developing a common understanding of the concepts of social entrepreneurial initiatives and analysis of the links between them
- Creating possibilities for the development of key competencies related to the issue of social inclusion, people with fewer opportunities

Major powers will constantly adapted and developed by youth workers through the implementation of a methodology based on the principle of learning to learn. The entire project will be based on the principles of non-formal education methodology. By introducing a solution and further learning by experience, we will offer young leaders the opportunity to test new ways and methods of teaching so you will be able to carry out self-reflection on the effects of learning.
In addition, in the second part of the training, the youth workers will be obliged to develop project ideas for their own communities, which will develop during individual and group work, and given the help of experienced trainers and invited social entrepreneurs.
In addition, we anticipate the development of:
- Initiative and entrepreneurial skills will be defined as part of our project- including the development of science ideas and the next steps that should be made in the implementation of various initiatives. During the informal meetings and through such activities as cross-cultural evenings, participants will gain the opportunity to develop their cultural and artistic skills.
