Aims & objectives

Objectives are to positively contribute to the accomplishment of the 2027 youth goal - mental health and wellbeing, to introduce social coaching into daily youth work local practices by enhancing the services youth NGOs can give to young people, to train 20 young people into social coaching, coaching supervision and training coaches and deploy the practice locally and to document the process in order to multiply the practice at European level.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Partner organisations and participants were from Italy, Estonia, Greece, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

Training methods used & main activities

The training used non-formal learning methods with a strong experiential approach. Participants learned through practice, cooperation, and reflection rather than lectures. Methods included energisers and team-building, small-group work, simulations/role plays, World Café-style discussions, peer exchange in rotating groups, and daily reflection sessions (pair sharing + plenary debrief). We also used creative methods such as visual facilitation (posters, mapping) and learning diaries to support self-reflection and transfer to practice.

Outcomes of the activity

The results of the project are to trained 20 youth workers as social coaches, supervisors and trainers of coaches, positively impacted minimum 260 young people at local level through local practice, locally train at least 100 young people in using and adopting coaching tools, digital learning process on organisational management processes to establish local partnerships between the youth and public sector and 1 animated documentary to document the process, along with 3 handbooks for replication of the activities.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My role combined training delivery and content development. I was a full-time trainer, co-authored educational manuals/toolkits, supported the research component (data collection, analysis, and reporting), and co-created a Competence Framework for Youth Coaching to guide quality standards and learning outcomes.
