Aims & objectives

To create and deliver training that enabled JCI Iceland members and international delegates attending the JCI iceland Conference to understand the concept of empowerment and design social action projects which could be implemented in JCI

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The conference was attended by over 100 Icelandic National delegates and Over 40 international delegates from Europe and America. All participants were JCI members. JCI members are aged 18-40.

Training methods used & main activities

informal education based on youth work values and participatory group work techniques were used

Outcomes of the activity

There were 6 successful projects designed , including projects around youth unemployment and womens empowerment.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I worked with the conferences organisers to agree and develop a training brief that would develop their organisation. I wrote and facilitated the training.

I worked on this training for 1 days as a full time trainer.
