i-YES (innovation- Youth Employment Seminar)

Aims & objectives

1. To exchange experiences among European organizations that are working in the development of new ways, original and creatives for the development of youth employment.

2. To compare the situations in each country and the strategies that are being developed to solve the problem of unemployment and improve the employability of the youngsters.

3. Establish common projects on the topic youth employment and to promote youth mobility

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

There were 25 participants coming from 12 different countries (Spain, Slovenia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, Iceland, France, Belgium, Denmark, Hungary and Poland). They were all workers in different organizations and positions related to promotion of Youth Employment and Employability.

Training methods used & main activities

One of the main aims of the seminar was the promotion of the exchange of information, experiences so we used non formal methods for this exchange among the participants. Also we used some dynamics to stimulate the creation of new projects. It was very important to create a safe atmosphere in the group to stimulate team work, confidence and exchange in the group.

Outcomes of the activity

The outcomes were nine proposals of new projects that hopefully will be developed next year.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the trainer responsable of the seminar. Appart of being trainer during the activity I was in charge of the previous organization and the contact with the Spanish National Agency.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
