Aims & objectives

- Create a new communication channel among youth and elderly people.
- Equip youth workers, leaders and coaches with knowledge, methodology and skills to cope with intergenerational learning.
- Create an entrepreneurial spirit among the youth to become more active citizens.
- Create conditions and strengthen communication for youth and youth workers to become leaders who would focus on intergenerational issues within local communities.
- Build a network of European Youth, who will share best practices.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group was made of 16 participants coming from Italy, UK, Portugal and Lithuania, 4 EVS from the hosting organizations, 2 trainers, a local facilitators and a photographer.

Training methods used & main activities

We used experiential learning a lot, as the group was supposed to develop his own activities to be applied at local level. The workshop were interactive and based on learning by doing, involving creativity, group work, simulation, debate, presentation, performances, street actions, reflections.

Outcomes of the activity

The group created 3 different workshop which were tested on the street on Agueda, to be then adjusted and applied in the pension houses of the local communities involved by participants.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the main trainer of the project, I designed the activity flow in cooperation with a co-trainer that supported the learning process of the group.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
