gLocal Impact

The training activity took place
in Sopot, Poland
organised by Stowarzyszenie Morena
07/06 - 13/06

Aims & objectives

The main aim of the project gLocal Impact was to increase the knowledge and the experience about the meaning and methodologies of the local impact of international projects.
Based on our long international experience we were always facing the issue of the “local impact” of international projects, that's why through "gLocal Impact" we wanted to focus topics and themes like:
- how to make sustainable locally an international project;
- how to raise the visibility of local projects
- how to improve the dissemination and the exploitation of project results
- how to improve the involvement of the local community
- why and how to make a proper needs analysis;
- how to measure the so called local impact;
- reasons to start a project from the local level/needs and reasons to start from the International level/priorities;
- how to improve the work with press and media
Other specific objectives were: to acquire awareness on the concept of “local”, “local community”; to explore possibilities of International projects for local change; to start new projects; to learn about methods and tools; to get to know new organizations

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The international group of participants was composed by youth leaders, youth workers, coordinators of international projects, from Italy, Latvia, UK, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Romania. The team was composed by the polish trainer Anna Krzeszowska and Salvi Greco from Italy. We had also the logistic support of a person from the local organisers.
