The objectives of the Training were:
Our objectives are:
1. Raising awareness about the sustainability challenge that we as humanity are facing.
Understanding the science behind it - through systems thinking - the specific social, environmental
and economic developments for 40 youngsters from 8 countries.
2. Mapping the road to action - finding the answers to the questions: What can each one of us do?
What can we do in our daily life, in our work, in our communities? How to engage more young people
to join us, to care and to take action for a more sustainable world? 40 young people from 8 countries
will draw the answers to these questions during an 8 days program.
3.improves the level of key competencies and skills of young people, including those with fewer
opportunities, as well as it promotes participation in democratic life in Europe and the labor market,
active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity;
4.additionally the project raises
participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, offering them the
opportunity to build networks of international contacts, to actively participate in society and develop asense of European citizenship and identity.
40 young people coming from several European countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovakia, Latvia):
- 19-28 years old,
- interested in a sustainable lifestyle or wanting to learn more
- Experienced or having strong interested in youth work, including outdoor and nature education, or
sustainability and global education.
- Work or volunteer in partners' or other youth organization.
- Motivated to learn and develop professionally and personally.
- Motivated to create a change in the local community.
- Willing to explore possible solutions and overcome the challenges they face.
The methodology for the project is built as a fusion of Non-Formal Education and Art of hosting.
1. Learning through commitment - The needs of the learner are in the centre of each process and the
program is fine-tuned and adapted to the specific circumstances and intention of a learner.
2. Flexibility and Adaptability – Content and specific activities (and their methodology) are flexible to
adapt to the learning needs and intentions of the learner throughout the whole learning process.
3. Inclusion – the Facilitators program making it accessible for anybody and encouraging inclusion at
all levels.
4. Planned – All activities are planned according to the intentions and commitments of the learner and
have clear objectives in relation to competence development and the objectives of the project. This
allows evaluating both (1) the entire program and (2) single program elements such as sessions,
exercises or simulations based on debriefing techniques and participant-based feedback.
5. Voluntary – All participation at any time is voluntary and based on the free choice of the learner. All
learning achievements are welcomed and considered right.

All activities are accompanied by set of monitoring, reviewing and evaluation methods. All the
working methods we plan to use have the purpose to help the participants to develop their
leadership, speaking, analytical and creative abilities. The workshops activities have as a main
purpose to develop knowledge about our project’s subjects. This non-formal method aims to have an
impact on the communicative abilities of each and every participant because we intend on listening and encourage everyone to speak its mind and to express an opinion. The workshops and all the
working sessions (before, during and after the mobility) are aiming to develop the teamwork spirit
and to create strong partnerships.
Participants will interact with stakeholders from the local community in order to have a better
understanding of the local realities in rapport with the themes of the project.
For Participants:
The key points of the expected impact on the participants are that they will feel more fulfilled and
confident to work for a more sustainable world, because:
• They understand the global situation and the sustainability challenge that we as humanity face, and
its importance to their life.
• They are prepared and motivated to act and take initiative for a more sustainable world.
• They feel more connected to themselves, nature and communities around them.
• They have the needed skills and competencies and they act as multipliers and change agents in
their communities to create more sustainable and just local communities.
• They unleash their potential and creativity to create a lasting change in their lives and communities
and thus contribute to a more sustainable world.
• They develop a new partnership between each other and their partner organizations for more
sustainable cooperation and future initiatives on the topic.
