TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Gabriel Brezoiu
This partnership-building activity aims to bring together youth organisations, NGO staff members, and professionals who are active or interested in ESC Humanitarian Aid cooperation. Through non-formal learning methods, peer exchange, and collaborative project development, participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, explore common priorities, and build long-term partnerships for future initiatives. To consolidate the activity, the onsite meeting in Budapest was complemented by an online networking event in the following month.
The group consisted of 11 reprezentatives of 8 European organisations from Hungary, Romania, Poland, France, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Finland holding ESC Humanitarian Aid Quality label.
The activity was based on nonformal education methods such as ice-breakers, name games, case studies, forum theater, reflection groups, study visit to a local organisation and simulation activities (mini-SOP) and speed-dating.
the activity led to the creation of:
- an interactive digital tool of organisations mapping in Padlet (that later included the organisations joining the onine networking event);
- 4 mini SOP - procedures templates supporting organisations in the ESC HUMAID Field;
- 3 followup project ideas;
As a trainer, my main role was to lead the pedagogical process supported by the local facilitators from Youth Bridges Budapest that took care of all the practicalities.
