Aims & objectives

Mid-term training for EVS volunteers staying in Hungary

Aims and objectives:
- To make EVS volunteers staying in Hungary meet and share their experience with each other
- To create an occasion for volunteers to evaluate their project and their own participation in it
- To answer volunteers’ questions about the Programme
- To present the Youthpass and the concept of the 8 key competences and motivate participants to work with them
- To develop participants’ social competences (especially communication-, problem solving skills and intercultural learning)
- To make participants discover and reflect on some aspects of the Hungarian culture


Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group: foreign EVS volunteers staying in Hungary
(20 participants, from 7 countries)

The team was composed of 2 trainers: Balázs Kiss and me (Gabriella Nagy)

Training methods used & main activities

Methodology: non-formal, interactive
(e.g. world café, role plays, simulation + disussion about interculturality, etc.)

Outcomes of the activity

Evaluation: according to the evaluation activities and forms, participants were very satisfied with the training; the main aims (see above) were all achieved.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Division of tasks in the team:

Gabriella Nagy- responsible for planning, contact person for the N.A. and participants, delivering sessions, organising team evaluation, writing final report.

Balázs Kiss - participating in planning and evaluation, delivering sessions, organising the free time activities and animation in the evenings for the group.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
