Aims & objectives

The training aims to following objectives:
- raising awareness about the migrants issues and the actual refugees crisis, with very specific examples
coming from youth organizations that work directly with the target group and have a key role in
fostering integration
- reflect on the challenges given by the target group, in particular how to accompany young refugees
and migrants in their path to reach autonomy in their new environment
- analyse, learn and share actual methods and practices that each organization is implementing a local
level in working with the target group
- get to know innovative methodology to facilitate participation and dialogue between migrants and
refugees and their welcoming communities, with particular reference to inner and rural areas, afflicted
by depopulation, giving young people a strong active role in supporting the process of social
integration.
Young refugees will also be involved in the project activities, living in reception Italian centers, called
SPRAR and located in neighboring municipalities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Partners of the project are organizations from Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Rep. of
Macedonia, Spain and Turkey. Each partner organization will send 3 participants (except Italy: 5 participants and Spain: 4 participants), of which at least one with fewer opportunities (preferably
geographic-social).
2 trainers and 2 facilitators.

Training methods used & main activities

The project explores non-formal education methods, social media tools and public art tecniques to
support participants in the learning process, in the beginning with information and online interaction
among participants till the meeting days that includes a wide range of activity such as:
- intercultural learning,
- workshops with refugees,
- public art techniques and development,
- human rights workshops

e.g. "where do you stand", "The forum" from bookmark of No Hate Speech; "every picture has a story" from Compass manual; Inclusive Leadership workshop from salto-youth
